WE ARE
ARTNERRA.

Meme Licensing is a platform built by Artnerra, a German based intellectual property agency that has been working with meme creators for the past four years on IP protection and meme monetisation.
We saw a gap: brands wanted to use memes legally. Creators wanted to be compensated fairly. There was no infrastructure connecting the two.
We built it. Every asset on our platform is contractually cleared, every creator is paid, and every license is legally documented. We are the rights verification layer for internet culture.

Licensing infrastructure for
internet culture.

We license memes. We collect royalties. We pay the creators.

For Meme Creators

Right now, brands are making money off memes they didn’t make and don’t give credit to the original creators behind these memes.

We treat Memes as Intellectual Property and help creators set up legal protection against anyone trying to profit off their work without a license.

Every time a brand wants to use your meme commercially, you get paid a royalty.

For Brands & Agencies

Using a meme without a license in a paid campaign leaves you exposed to copyright claims, takedowns, and potentially high settlement costs.

We give you access to a library of memes that are already cleared for commercial use. We handle the licensing, the creator payments, and the legal paperwork.

Every license comes with full legal cover. As long as you stay within the scope of the license you bought, your team can use the meme without worrying about copyright claims.

ONE PLATFORM FOR LEGAL MEME LICENSING.

Your Work. Your Rights. Your Revenue.

Copyright Registration

Where applicable, your copyright is formally registered. Every asset has a documented chain of title before it reaches any brand.

Signed IP Agreement

A formal contract governs ownership, royalty structure, and usage rights. Your name is behind every license issued.

Usage Monitoring

We scan social platforms and ad networks to detect unauthorised commercial use. When unauthorized commercial use is found, Artnerra can support creators, with their consent, through takedowns, enforcement, or litigation pathways if they choose to pursue them.

Royalties per License

Each time a brand licenses your meme, you receive a royalty. Paid out transparently, on a per-license basis.

Legal Memes. Real Impact.
Zero Uncertainty.

Documented Licensing

Every license includes a certificate that specifies the meme, platform, duration, and scope. Clear coverage before the campaign goes live.

Cleared for Paid Campaigns

Organic and paid ad licenses are available. No legal grey zones before posting on Meta, TikTok, or other platforms.

Agency & Enterprise Access

Multi-brand frameworks for agencies. Custom agreements for enterprise clients covering broader rights and cross-subsidiary access.

Backed by Rights Holders

Every asset is contractually cleared with the original creator. When you license through us, the underlying rights are in place.

The original pink knitted hat, 2025

Built inside meme IP before building the platform.

Before Meme Licensing, Artnerra worked directly with meme creators and rights holders on monetisation, transactions, IP strategy, licensing deals, and commercial partnerships across meme related digital and physical art.
In 2025, Artnerra helped facilitate the sale of the original pink knitted hat behind Dogwifhat for $800,000, one of the clearest signals that meme IP can carry real commercial value beyond the screen.
That was not an isolated case. Across 30+ meme creators, Artnerra has helped broker more than $1.6 million in meme related art and IP transactions, while also supporting broader licensing and merchandising opportunities, including plush and toy collaborations, as well as takedowns, registrations, filings, and litigation related support where needed.
