Passing Note

i How it’s used online The meme is basically a note followed by the reaction to it. The angry version is used most often, with the note saying something annoying, insulting or just something the person really disagrees with. It can be something like "The sequel comes out in three years", "Chess is only for nerds" or a childish note like "If you're reading this, you're stupid". There is also a happy version, where the same setup is used for compliments, good news or anything the person is actually happy to read. How it’s used by brands Brands can put almost any announcement on the note and use the reaction to show how people might feel about it. That could be a price change, a redesign, a product being discontinued or a feature people have been asking for finally going live. The angry version also works for things nobody wants to hear, like “The sale ends in three hours”, or for taking a small shot at something competitors do. You can label the people too, which opens up jokes between different groups, like the sales team passing something to the developers, customers passing a note to support, or marketing passing something to legal. It also works well for making fun of yourself, with a note like “Our last post got 10 likes”. The happy version can be used for good news, thank you posts, milestones or welcoming new customers. And sometimes the note can just be a slightly childish little message or reminder.
